Modeled after the real-life AK-47, the in-game version is manufactured by Shrewsbury. This iconic weapon has also been featured in previous titles, including Grand Theft Auto V, Grand Theft Auto IV, GTA San Andreas, and GTA 3.

In GTA VI, the Assault Rifle can be customized with a variety of attachments and tints, allowing for personalized gameplay styles. Its appearance in the game was confirmed through leaked footage on September 18, 2022.
